January 20: President of the Republic lays wreath at Amílcar Cabral Memorial
This Tuesday, January 20, National Heroes' Day, the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves, will lay a wreath of flowers at the Amílcar Cabral Memorial in Várzea-Praia. All in tribute to the memory of the national heroes and all those who gave their lives to build an independent and sovereign Cape Verde.
According to the head of state of Cape Verde, the ceremony will be attended by representatives of the other Organs of Sovereignty, the Diplomatic Corps and the Freedom Fighters of the Homeland, in a moment of profound historical and patriotic significance.
